BTC has a long history of training for the food and drink industry at our Cannington, Bridgwater and Taunton Campuses. Our superb facilities span from field to fork and our land-based training is now considered to be among the most exceptional in the country, providing students with state-of-the-art surroundings for learning and practicing their skills.
Rodway Farm, a 200 hectare mixed farm has a flock of 200 ewes of various breeds, a dairy herd of 250 high-yielding Holsteins and a state-of-the-art milking parlour, providing the most informative and relevant working experience.
Following a £1m refurbishment, our Quantock restaurant comprises an outstanding training facility within a full-scale restaurant and commercial kitchen. The restaurant opens to the public all year round, enabling learners to apply their knowledge in a live setting and to acquire teamwork and customer service skills.
We have a highly skilled engineering team who deliver the Food & Drink Maintenance Engineer Standard from excellent facilities created specifically for the food manufacturing industry.
