Skills Show set to be the best yet

Monday, October 23, 2017 - 17:16

10 food businesses are set to ensure that our industry has a major presence at this year’s Skills Show at the NEC Birmingham; the nation’s largest skills, apprenticeships and careers event.

Taking place over 3 days in November and with over 85,000 visitors coming through its doors, Tasty Careers will be hosting activities that represent the breadth of the industry and will include opportunities to operate a bottling filling line, manipulate robotic arms, simulate manufacturing Kit Kats, making butter, Christmas pudding tasting, photo booths and a selfie cow!

Justine Fosh, CEO of the NSAFD said “This year promises to be the best yet. The businesses involved come from all parts of the industry from dairy to drinks and their activities represent the range of fantastic jobs from engineering to quality. Having a presence at this event is really important for our industry’s profile and we thank those businesses who are involved for flying the flag for food and drink manufacturing."
