Sheffield Hallam University, one of the Industry Approved training providers, is once again signing up businesses to run their 12-week work placements for second-year Food Engineering Masters students, in 2019.
The Food Engineering Masters Programme, which forms part of Sheffield Hallam’s Centre of Excellence for Food Engineering, is an industry-backed course, developed in partnership with us at the NSAFD. The course aims to provide students with the skills and knowledge needed, to help grow the food and drink sector.
A key part of the programme is ensuring that students, upon graduation, have real practical experience of the workplace, and as such the 12-week work placement is an integral part of the programme. Of course, any work placement will benefit the student and training provider; however, there are also benefits for you the employer. Not only will you be able to scout for future talent, while benefiting from their existing skills and training, but you will also be able to help shape the next generation of food and drink professionals.
So, if you’re interested in providing a work placement, please get in touch. However, do bear in mind that the closing date for applications is Friday 30th November 2018.
