On Tuesday 23 July the Welsh Government and the Food and Drink Wales Industry Board launched a consultation paper at the Royal Welsh Agricultural Show setting out ‘Our ambition to further develop Wales’ food and drink sector’.

The consultation launch attracted over 100 Stakeholders and footage of the event can be seen in this film link. The Minister for Environment, Energy and Rural Affairs Lesley Griffiths AM, and Andy Richardson Chair of Food and Drink Wales Industry Board, jointly launched the consultation. William Watkins founder of Radnor Hills and Ffion Davies South Caernarfon Creameries spoke of their personal and businesses’ growth journeys.

Our aim is to produce a new and ambitious strategic plan to further the development of the sector and the benefits it delivers for Wales.
Stakeholders’ opinions will help shape a finished strategic plan for 2020-2026 which we expect to publish in early 2020.

The consultation paper is now live and will close midnight on the 15 October 2019.
We need to hear from as many voices as possible – please take part.
