Feedback required on SVQs for the Meat & Poultry, Fish & Shellfish and Spirits Operations Sectors

Industry skills body the National Skills Academy for Food & Drink is urging businesses to respond to a consultation on a series of new and reviewed Scottish Vocational Qualifications.

A brand new qualification for Craft Butchery has been developed by employers and stakeholders and we would like your feedback on the structure of this important new SVQ. Also, there has been a review of existing Meat & Poultry SVQs and we require feedback to confirm these updated qualifications are fit-for-purpose. Existing qualifications at SCQF L5 and SCQF L6 for the Fish and Shellfish sector have been reviewed by employers and stakeholders and we require feedback on these SVQs through the link below:

Finally, a brand new qualification has been developed for the spirits sector in Scotland. This new SVQ is designed to be the competence-based qualification within a new Modern Apprenticeship, which is set to be available during 2020.
