This course helps delegates understand the critical importance of managing isolations safely and the consequences when they fail. It explores high-risk activities requiring permits and the hazards involved, with content tailored to the delegate’s role — for example, engineers may cover a wider range of engineering controls and permit processes, while other colleagues may focus on electrical and air isolations.
Colleagues who manage contractors and / or issue permits to contractors or internal colleagues
Delegates will gain a step-by-step understanding of the isolation and lock off process, including identifying energy sources, dissipation, and verification. Where applicable, site specific procedures will be incorporated into the training.
