GET INVOLVED: Scotland NOS Consultation, Brand New SVQs & Modern Apprenticeships

The National Skills Academy for Food & Drink (NSAFD) is undertaking a review of current National Occupational Standards and Scottish Vocational Qualifications (SVQs) during 2017. These reviews will involve the following NOS and their related SVQs:

  • Production Management
  • Production and Control Operations
  • Supply Chain

It is also is undertaking a project to develop a brand new SVQ and Food Technical Modern Apprenticeship.

  1. The new Food Technical Modern Apprenticeship Framework will see the development of specific pathways for areas where substantial amounts of technical, science and product learning needs to take place off the job as well as having on the job learning. Initially it will consist of a new pathway for Food Technicians, supported by a new SVQ for Food Technicians – encompassing auditing, food quality, laboratory work and off the job training in food science.

Please see below a breakdown of the NOS, SVQ and Modern Apprenticeships that we would like your participation in, whether it’s by completing the online consultation survey, or by attending the meetings on 31st August and 1st September.
