New CEO of Occupational Awards Limited

Occupational Awards Limited (OAL) is delighted to announce that Amanda Clark, ex FDQ Chief Executive and food industry qualifications specialist has taken up the reins of the organisation this month as our new Chief Executive and Legal Director. Amanda has been engaged to spearhead the development of OAL as a high profile awarding organisation within the manufacturing industries and more specifically to grow its provision of food industry focussed qualifications and apprenticeship assessment services.

This move follows the acquisition of OAL by the National Skills Academy for Food & Drink, earlier this year. OAL will continue to support learners achieve their full potential through fit for purpose, industry focussed qualifications and support businesses to drive workforce learning and development. With Amanda’s vast experience in developing tailored qualifications, apprenticeships and related services for industry to drive workplace performance she is perfectly placed to grow OALs strategy.

Amanda’s time as Improve’s Head of Development and FDQ’s Chief Executive delivered the industry revolutionary qualifications and apprenticeship frameworks which are still supporting business development and growth today. OAL’s newly appointed Chair, John Whitehead, said of the appointment: “We are delighted that Amanda has joined us at this key time in our evolution to oversee the next phase of growth. She brings with her a wealth of experience in qualifications, food and in developing models for successful awarding organisations. Furthermore, we see her vision and understanding of the importance of developing the right offer as critical to the advancement of our awarding organisation.

As food will be a significant sector of focus for the business her experience throughout the sector will be invaluable. The organisation will have a close working relationship with the National Skills Academy for Food and Drink and will build on the excellent work undertaken by them in designing industry led programmes.”
